Postdoc Position in Particle Physics Phenomenology

The Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik (MPIK) in Heidelberg, Germany, invites applications for a postdoc position within the research group 'New Physics, Electroweak Symmetry Breaking, and Flavor' (NEWFO), part of the theory group at MPIK. The research group currently comprises seven members and has a wide range of interests, with a focus on physics beyond the SM, Higgs physics and electroweak symmetry breaking, dark matter, flavor physics, effective field theories, and model building.

Strong connections exist to the research of the theory group, which consists of members of the division ``Particle and Astroparticle Physics'' of M. Lindner, including E. Akhmedov, the Max-Planck-Fellow A.Y. Smirnov, the research groups of W. Rodejohann (MANITOP) and F. Goertz (NEWFO) and about twenty postdocs and students. There are also close contacts with the experimental groups at the institute and with Heidelberg University. Further information can be found at: https://www.mpi-hd.mpg.de/mpi/newfo .

The appointment can start any time in fall 2019 for a period of 2+1 years. Applicants are requested to have a Ph.D. by the start of the appointment. The deadline for applications is December 9, 2018.

Candidates should submit their curriculum vitae, a publication list, a brief description of research interests, and three letters of recommendation via AcademicJobsOnline under the general announcement of the theory group at:  https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/12289 .

Applications will be considered until the position has been filled.
