Dr. Yun Jiang, until May 2020 postdoc in the Max Planck research group NEWFO of Florian Goertz, has accepted an associate professorship in the framework of the “hundred talents” programme of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since June, he is working at the School of Physics and Astronomy at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou and at the TianQin Research Center for Gravitational Physics. Dr. Jiang is a theoretical physicist engaged in extensions of the standard model of particle physics, in particular with respect to the Higgs sector, effective field theories, phase transitions and cosmology. After his PhD at the University of California, Davis, in 2015, he stayed as postdoc at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen and at the Autonomous University of Madrid before he came to the MPIK in Heidelberg.
