This library of the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics is a scientific reference library for Non-Thermal Astrophysics, Particle and Astroparticle Physics, Stored and Cooled Ions as well as Quantum Electronics, Quantum Dynamics and Quantum Control.

Our collection contains approximately 26,200 monographs, book series, conference reports and university publications produced at the Institute as well as roughly 6,700 bound volumes of scientific journals. All media in the library can be accessed our users themselves, but please write beforehand for access to the journals.

• Literature acquisition, provision and research
  • Please feel free to contact me for any questions regarding procurement and access to literature. Also, you are very welcome to send a suggestion for acquisition if the library is missing particular books. They will be added as soon as possible.
• Interlibrary loan / Document supply services
  • Books and journal articles can be borrowed from other libraries or obtained partially as scans. Scans usually don't take longer than a day and can be requested via suggestion for acquisition or through E-Mail.
• Support with open access publishing
• Workstations in the library
• Publication management in the official Max Planck Society repository (MPG.PuRe)

The library is open 24 hours a day (even when the lights are off).
