Open positions

We have several open Bachelor, Master and PhD positions. All thesis works will be carried out within a team of students and postdocs.

  • Magneto-optical trap spectrometer: Implementation of an optical dipole trap for field-free trapping of ultra-cold lithium atoms. Experiments in Heidelberg and at external synchrotron radiation sources (e.g. Desy/Hamburg) on single, double and triple ionization.
  • The new compact reaction microscope: Implementation of ion and electron detectors. Experiments on laser assisted electron impact excitation of atoms. Experiments on positron impact ionization at external positron sources (e.g. Garching).
  • The advanced reaction microscope. Experiments for ionization of aligned molecules and small clusters. Analysis of data, interpretation and comparison with available theoretical calculations.
