Free access to all journals is only available from within the IP-Range of the MPIK or via VPN!
Electronic journals library (EZB)
The e-journals available for the staff of the MPI-K are offered via the EZB-portal. The Electronic Journals Library is a service to facilitate the use of scholarly journals on the internet. It offers a fast, structured and unified interface to access full text articles online.
The availability of full text access is indicated by different colours according to the license situation of our institute:
Green Label ● -> Free access to full text articles = Open Access
Yellow Label ● -> Access to full text articles is granted to users of the MPI-K library on the basis of a subscription.
Red Label ● -> No access to full texts as the MPI-K library does not have a current subscription to this journal. However, tables of contents and abstracts are generally available free of charge. The MPI-K library has no continuous subscription on the journal. Therefore, only some of the published volumes are accessible as full texts.
The Citioatn Linker will offer you MPG/SFX Services that are available for a specific article, journal or book, including links to the full text and other relevant resources. Enter all information you have in the appropriate form and click the MPG/SFX button.
Rules for downloading articles from e-journals:
The MPI-K/MPS and the publisher have concluded contracts to regulate, who is allowed to use the contents and in which way. The following rules have to be obtained always:
The use of the files/data is restricted to the purposes of science, research, and education.
The offer of information is only available for the members of the MPI-K and the its guests. Access for third party is forbidden.
Downloading and/or printing of data is only allowed for personal scientific purposes, any commercial use is illegal.
It is not permitted to download large quantities of data or complete volumes of periodicals.
Downloading pdf-files from the publishers pages and republish these files on your own pages (homepage) or the web pages of other persons is forbidden.
The use of electronic files is submitted to standard copyright rules.
In case of nonobservance of this rules the publisher is permitted to exclude certain groups/instituts from his offer of information.
