Third Circular (2013-06-03)

(1) The Deadline for Abstract Submission (June 7th) to the 4th Meeting on High Energy Phenomena in Relativistic Outflows (HEPRO IV) is approaching. If you wish to present a contribution, please complete your abstract submission by June 7, 2013.
The main idea behind the HEPRO series is a comprehensive discussion of the high-energy phenomena related to all type of relativistic outflows in astrophysics, including pulsar winds, microquasars, active galactic nuclei and gamma-ray bursts.

(2) End of early registration: To avail yourself of early regular (student) registration fees of EUR 250 (EUR 150), please complete your registration by June 7. Please note that payment needs to be received in time, and that for student registration a status verification is required.

First Circular (2013-02-05)

We are pleased to announce that the 4th meeting on "High Energy Phenomena in Relativistic Outflows" (HEPRO IV) will be held in Heidelberg, Germany, July 23-26, 2013.

Following previous meetings, which took place in Dublin (2007; HEPRO I), Buenos Aires (2009, HEPRO II) and Barcelona (2011, HEPRO III), the main idea behind this series is a comprehensive discussion of the high-energy phenomena related to all type of relativistic outflows in astrophysics.

Topics to be covered include:
- Pulsar Winds, Microquasars, AGNs, GRBs
- Gamma-Ray Production in Relativistic Outflows
- Multiwavelength Properties
- Past Activity of the Galactic Center Black Hole
- Accretion Disk Physics
- Formation and Propagation of Relativistic Jets
- Particle Acceleration and Transport

Invited review and highlight talks will occupy approximately 1/3 of the time slots, with a fraction of 2/3 dedicated to contributed talks. Space will also be provided for poster presentations.

All contributions presented at HEPRO IV are planned to be published in a special referred volume of International Journal of Modern Physics.

The meeting will be hosted by the Max-Planck-Institut fuer Kernphysik and take place at the Max-Planck Haus in Heidelberg, which can comfortably accommodate up to 150 participants.

News and up-to-date information about the conference are available on the meeting website at http://www.mpi-hd.mpg.de/hepro04

Full registration including abstract submission will be possible with April 30, 2013.

We look forward to seeing you in Heidelberg!
