First Circular (2007-09-11)
We are pleased to announce the "4th Heidelberg International Symposium
on High Energy Gamma Ray Astronomy" to be held July 7-11, 2008. The
basic objectives and the format of the Symposium will be similar to
the three previous (1994, 2000 and 2004) meetings. We plan to cover
all major observational and theoretical aspects of the field with an
emphasis on the high (GeV) and very high (TeV) energy intervals of the
electromagnetic spectrum.
The topics of the Symposium will range from
the origin of galactic and extragalactic cosmic rays to physics and
astrophysics of compact objects (Pulsars, Microquasars, AGN) and
cosmological issues related to the Large Scale Structures, Dark Matter
and Extragalactic Background Radiation.
Finally, we plan to have a
special session for discussion of scientific objectives and practical
developments related to the next generation ground-based gamma-ray
detectors.
Second Circular (2007-12-11)
We are pleased to announce that the 4th Heidelberg International
Symposium on High Energy Gamma Ray Astronomy website is now online.
The symposium will take place in Heidelberg from Monday 7th to Friday
11th of July 2008.
This symposium will cover all major observational and theoretical
aspects of the field with an emphasis on the high (GeV) and very high
(TeV) energy intervals of the electromagnetic spectrum.
News and up-to-date information about the conference is available on
the website homepage. Information on how to travel to the conference
is also provided, along with a range of possible accomodation for
participants.
Pre-registration to the meeting is encouraged. Pre-register as soon as
possible via the link on our website. Full registration will open in
February 2008.

*Abstract submission* for the Heidelberg GAMMA08 Symposium can now be done at here.
If you wish to present a contribution, please complete your abstract submission before May 15th.
As we are only able to accommodate a limited number of contributed talks, posters are particularly encouraged. All accepted contributions will be published as AIP conference Proceedings.
*VISA application: If you need an invitation letter for a VISA application, please inform us (by email to Brigitte Villaumie "brigitte.villaumie 'at' mpi-hd.mpg.de") as soon as possible, so that we can issue one to you. Note that June is usually a particularly busy month in German Embassies and it may thus be useful to get in contact with them well in advance.
*Accommodation: We have pre-booked a limited number of budget accommodation rooms conveniently located close to the conference site. If you wish to avail of these offers, please complete your booking before May 20th, via the link provided on the conference web page.
