Financial Registration

Online financial registration has been closed on Dec 3th, 4pm. If you want to register, please do so on-site at the Contec registration office. Registration will open on Monday morning at 8am, and payment by cash or credit card will be possible.

Abstract Submission

Late abstract submission has been closed on October 15. We apologize that abstract submissions cannot be accepted any more.

Authors will be informed soon about whether or not their contribution could be considered.

Registration Fee

*For Student Registration a verification of your status as a student is required. Please fax a confirmation of enrollment to the fax number of Contec +49(0)621-4628581 after you have registered.

The registration fee includes conference documents, refreshments during coffee breaks and a free copy of the Proceedings. Expenses for travel, accommodation, and related items are not covered by the registration fee.

The Conference Dinner (on Thursday evening; the ticket for EUR 50.- includes transport with the funicular railway, reception, a three-course dinner and free drinks) will take place at the scenic Molkenkur restaurant overlooking the Castle (see here for some pictures). The Conference Dinner can be booked together with the registration.

If you have questions concerning the registration process, or want to book dinner after having registered, please contact CONTEC directly. For questions about scientific aspects of the conference, please contact the conference secretariat.

For all registrations, payment must be received prior to the event. Please be advised that your registration is not considered confirmed until payment has been received in full. Please note that all payments must be made in Euros. All fees incurred in connection with bank transfers are to be paid by those making the transfer.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing to CONTEC. The following cancellation fees will occur:

• Until October 1, 2010: cancellation is free of charge


• October 2 - November 25, 2010: 50,00 EUR


• From November 26, 2010: the full registration fee will be charged.

A substitute may be sent instead of a registered participant.

Visa Information

If you need a Visa to enter Germany (click here to find a table of countries whose citizens require Visas to enter Germany), please take care to apply well in advance for it. If you require an invitation letter, please download the following pdf or word document, i.e. Invitation_letter.pdf or Invitation_letter.doc, fill in the required details and send it back to the conference secretariat (Fax: +49 6221 516 549). Please note that you have to register first before applying for a VISA invitation letter.
