First Circular (2010-01-31)

We are delighted to announce that the *25th Texas Symposium on Relativistic Astrophysics* will be held in Heidelberg, Germany from December 6-10, 2010, hosted by the Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics (MPI-K).

Invited and plenary talks at the Symposium will cover recent developments in Cosmology, Gravitation, and Astroparticle Physics with an emphasis on the most recent developments in the field, including results from the LHC, Dark Matter and Gravitational wave experiments, Fermi, Planck and Herschel missions, ground-based cosmic ray, neutrino and gamma-ray detectors, etc. These will be complemented by a comprehensive coverage of theoretical aspects of the field. Afternoon parallel sessions will include dedicated mini-symposia on a variety of astrophysical topics. Participants are also encouraged to present their research results during poster sessions.

Please visit http://www.mpi-hd.mpg.de/texas2010/ for further information about the Symposium and to pre-register for the event (which we strongly encourage you to do).

The Symposium will be held at Heidelberg's magnificent Stadthalle (Town Hall), situated between the historic heart of the city (Altstadt) and the Neckar river.

Heidelberg is one of Germany's oldest university towns. The romantic and semi-ruined Heidelberg castle, which overlooks the town and was the seat of the former Prince-Electors of the Palatinate, will be the venue for the conference banquet. Concurrently with the Symposium, Heidelberg will also host its famous Christmas Market (Weihnachtsmarkt).

We look forward to seeing you in Heidelberg in December!
