CTA Meeting in Barcelona, January 24-25, 2008

This is the 3rd general meeting on the way towards the future ground-based gamma-ray observatory CTA, after the meetings in Berlin, May 2006 and in Paris, March 2007. It will be the “kick-off” meeting for the practical work in the framework of the Design Study for implementation of the CTA observatory.

The program will therefore consist of four main parts, with the following preliminary outline:

  1. Thu 24, 9 am – 13.30 pm: parallel work sessions of the working groups

  2. Thu 24, 3.00 pm – 7.20 pm: physics perspective for CTA

  3. Fri 25, 9 am – 12.30 am:

    • Summary of the work plans for the Design Study

    • Presentations of other gamma-ray projects

  4. Fri 25, 2 pm – 5 pm (closed) session: management and funding of the Design Study

A CTA dinner is planned for Thursday evening !

Participants of the meeting should register before January 10, 2008 via this page, where also local info about the venue, accommodation, transport, etc. can be found. A limited number of rooms at the residence of the University have been reserved and can be booked until December 15.

The closed session is on invitation only.
