On the interpretation of sensitivity limits of future experiments

Abstract
I discuss the precise statistical meaning of sensitivity limits in the context of future neutrino oscillation experiments searching for $\theta_$. The commonly calculated limits are compared to the probability to observe a non-zero value of $\theta_$ at a given CL, calculated by a Monte Carlo simulation at the examples of the T2K and Double-Chooz experiments. Furthermore, these concepts are applied also to the search for CP violation at the example of the T2HK experiment.
