Scientific Program and Important Information

Social Program
The participation in the conference is free of charge. This includes coffee breaks, lunches from Tuesday 21 to Friday 24 and dinners on Tuesday 21 and on Thursday 23.
All conference participants are cordially invited to join the excursion on Wednesday 22. The meeting point is outside the library building in front of its main entrance. The departure from the MPIK is at about 15:10.
There will be three options, for which you need to register:
- OPTION 1:
A hiking tour taking about 90 minutes with all organisers to the Castle of Heidelberg. After a short tour outside the castle, the group will go to the old town (Altstadt) together with a part of the organising committee, have a short tour there followed by a dinner at the restaurant of the brewery Heidelberger Kulturbrauerei. Please note that the expenses for the dinner must be paid by the participants. - OPTION 2:
A hiking tour taking about 90 minutes with all organisers to the Castle of Heidelberg. After a short tour outside the castle, the group will go to the restaurant ‘S’Kastanie together with a part of the organising committee to have the conference dinner there at 18:30. After the dinner, the group will return to the city. Please note that the expenses for the conference dinner must be paid by the participants. - OPTION 3:
A boat trip to Neckarsteinach guided by two postdocs of the MPIK. The participants will go by bus to the Bismarckplatz and arrive there at about 15:30 (the bus can be also used, if you decide not to join the excursion). From there, the group will walk to the Kongresshaus Stadthalle Heidelberg (Heidelberg Convention Center), from where the boat to Neckarsteinach will leave at 16:00. After the arrival in Neckarsteinach at 17:25, the group will go for a walk to visit one of the castles (Burg) and then return to Heidelberg either by bus or by train and have dinner there. The price for the boat trip is EUR 9 max. and the price for the bus / train ticket from Neckarsteinach to Heidelberg is EUR 5,40. Please note that all expenses must be paid by the participants.
