The Standard Model of Particle Physics 2: Theory (MVSpec)

Content

The lecture will cover advanced and current topics of the Standard Model of Particle Physics from the theoretical perspective. The present status of the Standard Model, open questions, and some directions of beyond the Standard Model physics are discussed. Topics include Non-Abelian Gauge Theories, Electroweak Symmetry Breaking and Higgs physics, Neutrino Masses and Oscillations, Dark Matter and Theories Beyond the Standard Model.
Tutorials offer the possibility to discuss open questions and the exercises.

Credit Points:

You will get 4 ECTS points (credit points) if you have solved at least 50% of the exercises, and have handed in solutions of all exercise sheets. There will be no grades, unless a student needs one.
