How to reach the conference site

Arriving by Plane at the Munich Airport

Ringberg castle can be reached by train from Munich Airport or Munich downtown via Tegernsee. To find a suitable connection, please visit the webpages of the German railway services: http://www.bahn.de/i/view/USA/en/index.shtml (or just www.bahn.de and then choose your language). Starting location is "Munich airport" (which will be translated to German "München Flughafen Terminal") or "Munich", the destination is "Tegernsee". Typical connections from the airport take about 2h with change in "München Donnersbergerbrücke". Tickets for the trip can be bought at the German railway (Deutsche Bahn DB) vending machines or the counters at the airport station or downtown central station. They can also be bought via the webpage and then need to be printed out.

For the last part of the way (Tegernsee->Castle Ringberg) a taxi ride is required. In case of snowy weather, only 4-wheel cars will be able to reach the castle, a service which is not offered by every taxi company. A taxi company in the region, which has 4-wheel cars, is "Taxi Kaufmann" (Tel:+49 8022 5555, approx. 15-20 EUR per ride).

A more detailed but slightly outdate description can also be found on the Ringberg Castle website.
