Latest Results of the Mainz Neutrino Mass Experiment
The Mainz Neutrino Mass Experiment investigates the endpoint region of
Tritium beta spectrum by use of a MAC-E-Filter (Magnetic Adiabatic
Collimation followed by an electrostatic Filter) to determine the mass
of the electron antineutrino. The results of two month of data taking
in 2001 will be presented. On Neutrino 2000 the measurments of 98/99
with the result of m_nu^2 = -1.6 +- 2.5_stat +- 2.1_sys which leads to
an upper limit of 2.2 eV for the neutrino mass. The measurements of
2001 show also no disturbancies and lead in combination with the
results of 98/99 to m_nu^2 = -1.2 +- 2.2_stat +- 2.1_sys eV^2 and to
the same upper limit. This work is sponsored by BMBF: FKZ 06Mz866I/5.
