Parking your car:

Each time you arrive at the entrance of the MPIK by car, you have to register with the guards in the entrance building (Nr. 01 on the map below) before entering the MPIK. Therefore, please do not block the gate barrier with your car while your register, but park your car in the waiting area on the right hand side. The guards will open the gate barrier only after you have registered. You then may park your car in any free and non-reserved parking spot.

Bus transfers:

Bus line 39 connects the “Bismarckplatz” (Bismarck square) in the city centre with the MPIK. The bus stop at Bismarck square is at platform G and it is located opposite of the hugh department store (Galeria Kaufhof).

Bus line 39 with final destination “Königstuhl”: Leave the bus at bus stop “MPI Kernphysik”.
Bus line 39 with all other final destinations: Leave the bus at bus stop “Bierhelderhof/Ehrenfriedhof”, then walk 300 metres uphill.

In each case, you must always register at the entrance gate before you enter the premises.
