Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a workshop "High Energy Phenomena in Relativistic Outflows" to be held in Dublin, Ireland, from Monday, September 24 to Friday September 28, 2007. The workshop is hosted by the School of Cosmic Physics of the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. The workshop will take place in the Joly Lecture Theatre (Hamilton Building) of the Trinity College located at the heart of Dublin. We plan to have several review talks on different aspects of the theory of gamma-ray sources, including the magnetohydrodynamics, particle acceleration, transport and radiation in relativistic outflows. A few review talks will be devoted also to the status of observations of galactic and extragalactic sources with relativistic jets, as well as to the future major instruments. But the main objective of the meeting will be presentations of recent original theoretical and phenomenological studies in the forms of invited and contributed talks, as well as posters.
The registration fee of 250 Euro is to be payed at the registration desk on arrival. This will cover the coffee breaks, reception, and proceedings. Information about the logistics will be sent out in the second circular. There are several good (economic) possibilities to fly to Dublin, but in order to take advantage of these we encourage you to book your flight as early as possible.
