25th International Workshop on Weak Interactions and Neutrinos (WIN2015)

June 8–13, 2015, MPIK Heidelberg, Germany

About the Workshop

History: The 25th International Workshop on Weak Interactions and Neutrinos (WIN2015) will take place in Heidelberg, Germany, on June 8–13, 2015. This workshop has a history of more than 40 years and previous WIN workshops took place in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, and South America. The purpose of the workshop is to offer to the community a significant opportunity to assess the status of the field and to initiate collaborative efforts to address current physics questions.

Traditionally the workshop has the following four main topics:
  • Electro-Weak Symmetry Breaking and Higgs
  • Neutrinos
  • Astroparticle Physics
  • Flavour Physics
Workshop format: The WIN workshops have a specific format aiming at emphasizing recent results, trends and new ideas. The workshops starts therefore with broad overview talks which set the scene for the parallel sessions and the plenary reports of the session conveners, which are an important element. A few topics will be covered in addition by highlight talks. WIN2015 has therefore the following kind of talks:
  • At the beginning plenary overview talks which serve also as introduction to the parallel sessions on the four main topics
  • Parallel sessions on the four main topics organized by session conveners (a theorist and an experimentalist each). Please contact the session conveners directly if you are interested in a talk
  • Plenary summary talks of the session conveners on the most interesting results, trends and new ideas of their sessions
  • A few highlight talks on topics being traditionally at the center of WIN and where significant progress was made.
  • A concluding talk
