Current topics in astroparticle physics: theory and experiment (MVSem)

Content

The talks in this seminar will cover current hot topics in astroparticle physics, a young field of research dealing with the overlap of particle physics, cosmology and astrophysics. Possible talks are on Evidences for Dark Matter, Dark Matter Candidates, Direct Detection Experiments for Dark Matter; Neutrino Mass, Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay, Theory of Neutrino Oscillations, Solar Neutrinos, Atmospheric Neutrinos, Reactor Neutrinos, Supernova Neutrinos; Acceleration Mechanisms for Cosmic Rays, Detection of Cosmic Rays; Cosmic Microwave Background, Cosmological Inflation, etc.
Most topics can be discussed either from a theoretical or an experimental viewpoint.
The talks will be distributed on October 13.

Credit Points:

You will get 6 ECTS points (credit points) and a grade if you have given a talk, attended all of the other talks, and have written a 15-20 page summary of your talk.
