Astroparticle Physics Working Group
Topics
The working group on astroparticle physics focuses its research on astrophysical environments whose exploration might challenge or complete our current understanding of cosmology, particle physics, and the structure of time and space. It employs the H.E.S.S. data to search for novel phenomena (like a violation of Lorentz invariance) and fundamental particles (like dark matter or exotic particles). The working group keeps close contacts to theorists and experimentalists working in particle physics and in other branches of astroparticle physics in order to develop and use tools that allow the combination of H.E.S.S. data with other measurements.
