Cosmic ray research at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik includes experimental and theoretical work

Our recent and present experiments

• Cosmic Ray Tracking (CRT) project [finished],
• High Energy Gamma Ray Astronomy (HEGRA)
  experiment with its subgroup for
• Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (ACTs) [finished]
• High Energy Stereoscopic System (HESS),
  the new Cherenkov telescope system.
