Cassini at Enceladus - Science special issue
Enceladus, an icy moon of Saturn, is the topic of an science special issue published on March 10th 2006.
Enceladus is mysterious not only because it has the highest albedo in our solar system, but also it is a moon with geological aktivities.
Enceladus spreed out water in form of gas and ice particles from its hot south pole region, the so called 'Tiger Stripes'. This mechanism is supposed to be the mean scource of the largest planetary ring of our solar system, Saturns E ring.
